This page is inspired by this document I stumbled across randomly. This will forever be a work in progress as I update my working style.

This is the “how to work with Maxx” page! I hope this is useful for anyone who will work with me in the future.

Working with Maxx

Communication Rules

  1. For initial intros, feel free to email! Format it nicely (aka easy to read with clear actionable steps) and don’t be rambly. (See: Email)
  2. I read every single email, but I won’t always respond. Know that I have read it. I will only respond if you ask me directly or if I have any questions. If you want a response from me, resend the email with a ?
  3. Informal language is fine.
  4. Don’t waste your time (and mine!) with polite greetings. “Hope you are doing well…” I prefer just jumping straight into things.
  5. If you want to 1<>1 with me, ideally just send a Cal link. I don’t care about whatever associated power dynamics encoded in sending a scheduling link.
  6. If you do 1<>1 with me, please come prepared, either with questions or understanding of the topic on hand.
